Schoenauer, Marianne, b. Vienna, May 31, 1920, d. Vienna, July 9, 1997. Actress. Studied at the Max Reinhardt-Seminar, singing lessons, 1945-1948 at the Volkstheater, 1949 at the Raimundtheater in Vienna, 1950 at the Salzburg Provincial Theatre, 1951 Vienna Municipal Theatre; 1951-1987, with interruptions, at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna; from 1946 also appearances in films (with partners such as H. Moser, O. W. Fischer, E. Balser, H. Holt, J. Heesters). 1987 retired from the stage, then mainly TV work, teaching (rhetoric and drama) and readings.
