Schönböck, Karl#
b. Vienna, Feb. 4, 1909, d. Munich (Germany), March 24, 2001, (film) actor. Made his debut at the Staatstheater Meissen in 1930 and played in Berlin 1937-1945, from 1936 also film roles. Together with colleagues he opened the first German theatre after the war, the "Berliner Tribuene". S. also was one of the founders of the "Die Kleine Freiheit" theatre in Munich, where he worked from 1946. From 1949 theatre tours through Germany and guest performances at the Theater in der Josefstadt (including "Professor Bernhardi" in 1974), at the Theater an der Wien ("Hello Dolly", 1968) and at the Salzburg Festival ("Tartuffe", 1960). Roles in TV series ("Das Erbe der Guldenburgs"). Archetype of the bon vivant and gentleman.
