Schönbrunn, Frieden von#
Schoenbrunn, Peace of: Was signed with France on October 14, 1809 after Austria´s defeat at Wagram: Austria had to acknowledge the cessation of the Tirol and of Vorarlberg to Bavaria of 1805 (the rebels were guaranteed amnesty) and also had to cede Salzburg, including Berchtesgaden, the Innviertel region and a part of the Hausruckviertel region to Bavaria, western Carinthia, Carniola, Croatia south of the River Save, Goerz, Trieste, Fiume and Dalmatia to France (which then became known as the "Illyric Provinces"), East Galicia to Russia and West Galicia including Cracow to the Grand Duchy of Warsaw (King of Saxony). Austria also had to acknowledge the Continental System.
