Schönfeld, Johann Ferdinand von#
b. Prague, Czech Republic, 1750, d. Vienna, Oct. 15, 1821; founder and owner of a technological museum with more than 200,000 exhibits, including holdings of the former Rudolphine Collections (of Rudolf II) in Prague, which were dispersed after his death. Lived in Vienna from 1799. Established a "Diplomatisch-heraldisches Adelsarchiv" (Diplomatic and Heraldic Archives of Nobility) and greatly contributed to the development and beautification of Baden bei Wien and the Helenental valley.
