Schachner, Walter Schoko#

Schachner, Walter ("Schoko"), b. Leoben (Styria), Feb. 1, 1957, soccer player and trainer. From 1978 played forward for Austria Wien; from 1981 successful career in Italy (Cesena, AC Torino, US Avellino). From 1999 trainer; since 2000 trainer for FC Kaernten, which advanced into the Austrian professional league in the 2000/2001 season and won the Austrian Cup and the Super Cup. As an active soccer player, S. scored 299 goals in 612 Austrian professional league matches and 24 goals for the Austrian national team in 64 international matches.
