Schafberg#
Schafberg mountain, Salzburg (1,782 m), characteristic mountain of the Salzkammergut district, called "Austrian Rigi", with vertical precipices located on the north side, on the border between Salzburg and Upper Austria. The Schafberg is an imposing and isolated limestone mountain situated between Lakes Wolfgangsee, Mondsee and Attersee with a far-reaching view of the Salzkammergut district extending to the Dachstein massif; rack railway from St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut to the summit; Himmelspfort mountain refuge, hotel on the peak.
