b. Vienna, June 26, 1907, d. Graz, Styria, Oct. 7, 1947 Graz (accident), motorcycle racer. Before and after World War II in the top league of motorcycle racers (road, hill climb, and track events); national champion in 1928, winner of the Austrian Tourist Trophy in 1929 and 1932, European speedway champion in 1937.
