Senekowitsch, Helmut#
Senekowitsch, Helmut, b. Graz (Styria), Oct. 22, 1933, soccer player and trainer. Played for Sturm Graz 1955-1958, 1958-1961 for Vienna. From 1961 played professional soccer for Betis Sevilla, from 1964 played for Wacker Innsbruck. Ended his active sports career in 1971, afterwards trainer for GAK and VOeEST Linz (Austrian champions in 1974). 1976-1978 trainer of the Austrian national soccer team, which under his guidance qualified for the final round of the world championships for the first time in twenty years and reached the quarterfinals. Afterwards worked as a trainer for other teams in Austria and abroad (e.g. Spain, Greece, Germany).
