Sitte, Siegfried#
b. Salzburg, April 29, 1876, d. Unken (Salzburg) April 16, 1945, architect, city planner, land reformer. Son of Camillo Sitte, brother of the archaeologist Heinrich S. (b. Feb. 28, 1879, d. Nov. 8, 1951). Promoted the idea of adequate land reform as well as the adaptation of housing to contemporary demands. S. dedicated himself to the preparation of new building regulations and an urban planning law intended to provide a proper legal basis for modern city planning.
