Situla von Kuffern#
Situla of Kuffern, cone-shaped bucket made of bronze sheet, 25 cm in height, only situla with human figural ornamentations discovered north of the Alps, one of the most important finds in Lower Austria dating from the early La Tène Culture. Shows scenes of a feast arranged in the form of bands running around the circumference. Made between 475 and 425 B.C. on the territory of what is now Slovenia, discovered in 1891 in a gravel deposit near Kuffern (municipality of Statzendorf, Lower Austria), exhibited in the Museum of Natural History in Vienna.
