Skraup, Karl, b. Wien-Atzgersdorf, July 31, 1898, d. Munich (Germany), Oct. 2, 1958, actor. 1924 debut at the Vienna Volkstheater; guest performances in Basle, Strasbourg and Brno, permanent member of the Volkstheater (esp. in plays by Nestroy, Raimund and Anzengruber) from 1935; films. Since 1967/68 the Volkstheater has annually awarded the K.-S.-Prize for the best actor, director, decor and costume, supporting role and young talent.
