St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See, Carinthia, municipality in the district of Voelkermarkt, alt. 442 m, pop. 4,103, area 40.94 km2, summer tourist resort (1.177,062 overnight stays in 1992) in the Jaun Valley, between the Voelkermarkt Reservoir and Lake Klopein. - Gračarca Museum (archaeological finds of prehistoric hill-top settlements), recreation centre, summer bathing establishment on Lake Turnersee, golf course. - Early historicist parish church (1849-1860) with Romanesque choir tower and late Gothic apse, side altar with late Gothic crucifix (around 1510-1520), Gothic filial church in Klopein; parish church at Stein in the Jaun Valley, former fortress chapel (around 1200) with murals (around 1240) and neo-Baroque high altar (19th century), "Kaerntner Kreuzweg" (Carinthian Way of the Cross) (1991).
