St. Leonhard am Forst#
St. Leonhard am Forst, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Melk, alt. 249 m, pop. 3,043, area 43.44 km2, industry and trade, summer tourist resort (13,478 overnight stays in 1992) situated near the confluence of the Rivers Mank and Melk. - Caritas day care home for handicapped people; textile industry, metal processing and mechanical engineering. - Gothic staggered hall church from the 2nd half of the 15th century conspicuously situated on a hill-top, with stellar vault and Baroque altars (around 1730).
