St. Ulrich am Pillersee, Tirol, municipality in the district of Kitzbuehl, alt. 847 m, pop. 1,278, area 52.00 km2, bi-seasonal tourism (256,037 overnight stays in 1992), situated at the south-western foot of the Lofer Mountains, near St. Johann in Tirol - TIWAG holiday home, mountain rescue force; mountain pine processing distillery (oil and brandy), production of detergents, forwarding agent. - Late Gothic parish church with Romanesque west tower redone in Baroque style and vault paintings (after 1751) by S. B. Faistenberger; Gothic St. Adolari chapel with late Gothic frescoes (around 1440) and Baroque high altar (early 18th century) with Gothic pietà (around 1420).
