Stangl, Burkhard Paul#
Stangl, Burkhard Paul, b. Eggenburg (Lower Austria), Nov. 6, 1960, composer, musician. Studied guitar at the Vienna Conservatory as well as ethnology and musicology at the University of Vienna; from 1982 focussed on African cultural phenomena; from 1985 worked together with F. Koglmann, O. Neuwirth, Tom Cora, Walter Malli, A. Logothetis, etc. Established the ensemble Ton.Art in 1983 and Maxixe in 1991; member of various other ensembles (Die Voegel Europas, Franz Koglmann Quintett, Ensemble 2001).
