Steinbach an der Steyr, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems, alt. 381 m, pop. 1,996, area 28.23 km2, southeast of Steyr. Privately owned small power station; trades, exhibition farm producing organic goods. - Late-Gothic parish church (first documented mention 1120) with Baroque Nordkapelle chapel (18th century); late-Gothic stained glass (1440-1450), neo-Gothic interior; "Alter Pfarrhof" presbytery (1769) with wall paintings and Rococo stoves; main square with renovated town houses.
