Stockinger, Friedrich, b. Vienna, Sept. 22, 1894, d. Toronto (Canada), Aug. 20, 1968, merchant, politician (member of the Christian Socialist Party and the "Fatherland Front"), 1933-1936 Federal Minister of Trade and Transport, 1936-1938 President of the administrative board of the Austrian Federal Railways, 1938 emigrated to Canada, where he unofficially represented Austrian interests during World War II; 1955 commercial attache in Canada.
