Stoiber, Rudolf Maria#

Stoiber, Rudolf Maria, b. Steyr (Upper Austria), Aug. 29, 1925, radio journalist, story-writer, author of children´s books, produced radio and TV plays. Actor at the Theater in der Josefstadt; 1947 co-founder and chief editor of the magazine for young readers "Der Goldene Wagen" (until 1950). Moved to Canada 1952; 1954 founded the German theatre Deutsche Kammerspiele Montreal; worked as America correspondent for the ORF (Austrian broadcasting corporation) and as UN correspondent for Austria Press Agency (APA), then also as independent producer for theatres and TV stations; has lived in New York since 1955.
