Stradal, Otto#

Stradal, Otto, b. Vienna, March 12, 1911, d. Vienna, Dec. 7, 1982, journalist and writer. From 1931 worked as commentator and foreign correspondent (the Netherlands, Scandinavia) for daily newspapers in Vienna, travelled in Europe and to North Africa. After 1945 worked for the Vienna radio station and a number of magazines, until 1950 editor-in-chief of the "Weltpresse", 1950-1954 of the Viennese daily "Wiener Kurier", later general manager of the "Neuer Kurier". From 1956 chief press officer of the Austrian Tourist Board. Wrote various non-fiction books, especially about Vienna.
