Tannheimer Tal#
Tannheim Valley, Tirol, north-western lateral valley of the Lechtal Valley ( Lech) in the Ausserfern region. The Tannheim Valley starts at the Oberjoch Pass (1178 m) on the border to Germany and stretches out over the main settlement of Tannheim (alt. 1097 m), Lake Haldensee (alt. 1124 m) and Gaicht Pass to the village of Weissenbach am Lech (alt. 885 m), where it meets the Lechtal Valley. The Tannheim Valley is drained by the Vils, Berger Ache, Nesselwaenger Ache, Warpsbach and Weissenbach streams. It is crossed by the old salt road leading from Reutte (alt. 853 m) to Lake Constance.
