b. Fulnek (Czech Republic), around 1730, d. Buda (Budapest, Hungary), Oct. 16, 1807, architect. After professional training in Vienna worked for the Imperial building authorities; 1782 in the Hungarian Chamber of Architecture, from 1788 head of the Hungarian building supervisory board. Important representative of architecture around 1800 with Palladian and revolutionary classicist features (silk weaving mill in Budapest, 1785). So far his early period of work and his relation to I. Canevale have not been subject to research. Buildings in Bratislava, Budapest, Gyoer and elsewhere.
