The Treaty of Trianon was concluded on June 4, 1920 at the Grand Trianon between the Allied Powers of World War I and Hungary: Burgenland went to Austria; Hungary was reduced to about one third of its pre-war size, being forced to cede territory to the ČSR (now Slovakia), to Romania (Transylvania and Banat) and to Yugoslavia (boundaries to the south of Szeged and Pecs).
