Trins, Tirol, municipality in the district of Innsbruck Land, alt. 1,233 m, pop. 1,021, area 48.81 km2, bi-seasonal tourist resort (100,415 overnight stays in 1992) situated in the Gschnitztal valley at the foot of the Blaser mountain (2,241 m). - Late Gothic parish church (documented mention in 1359, consecrated in 1494, altered in 1835) with late Gothic statue of the Virgin Mary, ceiling frescoes by A. Kirchebner (1755), 3 old bells (16th century and after 1603); Romanesque-Gothic pilgrimage chapel of St. Magdalene with frescoes (early 13th century and 15th century); late Baroque Anna Chapel; Schneeberg Palace (18th century, re-modelled in 1910 ); close to Sarnthein waterfall.
