Unterfrauenhaid, Burgenland, market town in the district of Oberpullendorf, alt. 278 m, pop. 691, area 10.98 km2, on Raidingbach stream. - Animal carcass processing plant, transport industry, gravel and sand works, poultry farm. - First documented mention in 1222; destroyed by the Turks in 1529, then re-settled by Croats. Parish and pilgrimage church (documented mention in 1456, altered in Baroque style in 1660) with Gothic choir, surrounded by defensive wall, miracle-working image (1629) and notable oil painting (1809).
