Urteil, Andreas, b. Gakovo (Croatia), Jan. 19, 1933, d. Vienna, June 13, 1963, sculptor. From 1945 lived in Austria, student of F. Wotruba, from 1961 taught at the Vienna Academy; created spontaneously moulded "imaginary" figurations, "cartilage figures" in wood, stone and metal as absolutely simplified ideal human forms. 1962 awarded the Austrian State Prize.
