Verwallgruppe#

Verwall Mountains, Tirol/Vorarlberg, glacier-covered mountain range between Montafon valley, Klostertal valley, Arlberg pass, Stanz valley, Paznaun valley and Zeinisjoch pass (1,842 m); belongs geologically to the Silvretta crystalline rock formation; highest elevations: Hoher Riffler (3,168 m), Kuchenspitze (3,148 m), Kuechlspitze (3,147 m), Patteriol (3,056 m); lakes: Schwarzsee lake, Alpguessee lakes, Schottensee lake, Kartellsee lake, etc.; skiing area at Schruns (Vorarlberg), St. Anton am Arlberg (Tirol) and in the Paznaun valley; Arlberg tunnels (road and rail traffic) from Langen (Vorarlberg) to St. Anton am Arlberg (Tirol). Mountain refuges: Darmstaedter Huette (2,384 m), Edmund-Graf-Huette (2,375 m), Wormser Huette (2,307 m), Heilbronner Huette (2,308 m) etc.
