Vietoris, Leopold#

b. Bad Radkersburg (Styria), June 4, 1891, mathematician. 1928 Professor at the Vienna University of Technology, 1930-1961 University Professor in Innsbruck, important research in the fields of topology and probability calculus etc. Awarded the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art in 1973.
