Villers, Alexander Heinrich von#
Villers, Alexander (Heinrich) von, b. Moscow (Russia), April 12, 1812, d. Neulengbach (Lower Austria), Feb. 16, 1880, writer. Initially restless, Bohemian lifestyle. After law studies, entered the Saxon diplomatic service. In 1870 retired to Neulengbach. His friend Count R. Hoyos published the "Briefe eines Unbekannten" (1881) after V.´s death. These became classics of their genre through vivid diction and graphic descriptions.
