Daughters of Charity, also Sisters of Charity, female religious community founded in 1633 by St. Vincent de Paul, particularly devoted to the care of the sick and the poor, to works of charity for people in need and poverty and for children and young people ( Brothers of Mercy). The Daughters of Charity of Gumpendorf were founded in 1832, the mother house is in Vienna (6th district).
