Wölfl Wölffl, Joseph#
b. Salzburg, Dec. 24, 1773, d. London (United Kingdom), May 21, 1812, pianist, composer. Pupil of M. Haydn and L. Mozart. Lived in Vienna from 1795, where he was greatly admired as a pianist (piano competitions with L. van Beethoven). Went to Paris in 1801, to London in 1805, where he also worked as a teacher.
