Woesendorf in der Wachau, Lower Austria, village in the district of Krems an der Donau, alt 207 m, on the left shore of the River Danube; wine-growing and fruit cultivation, cadastral district of the market town Weissenkirchen in der Wachau. - First documented mention 1163; late-Baroque parish church (1784-1791) with precious medallion ceiling frescoes by A. Meyer (1791), altarpieces by M. J. Schmidt (1786, 1790); Florianihof (former vintage centre belonging to St. Florian Abbey, 15th and 17th century, interior from the 18th century).
