Wache, Karl, b. Vienna, April 26, 1887, d. Vienna, April 30, 1973, poet, narrative writer, dramatist, literary historian; civil servant at the Vienna University Library; friend of R. Hohlbaum; in his novels and narratives spread German Nationalist ideas; author of cultural historical essays on Vienna; editor of the anthology "Deutscher Geist in Oesterreich", 1933.
