Wald im Pinzgau, province of Salzburg, municipality in the district of Zell am See, alt. 885 m, pop. 1,022, area 69.24 km2, bi-seasonal tourism (223,542 overnight stays in 1992), located in the upper-most part of the Salzach Valley. - Wald storage power station run by SAFE Salzburg power services (built in 1988, 21.9 MW). - Gothic parish church (first documented mention 1395) with Baroque alterations, chapel of St. Sixtus (1579) with figures (16th century).
