Weißbriach#

Weissbriach, Carinthia, village in the district of Hermagor, alt. 801 m, summer tourist resort in the Goesseringgraben valley, in the upper Gitschtal valley in the Gailtal Alps; cadastral district of the municipality of Gitschtal (116,112 overnight stays in 1992). - Gold mining from the 16th century, later also iron ore mining; late-Gothic parish church (documented mention in 1331) with frescoes (early 17th century), bell (15th century); Protestant church (1882-1886).
