Wengraf, Edmund#
b. Mikulov, Czech Republic (then Nikolsburg), Jan. 9, 1860, d. Vienna, Dec. 8, 1933, narrative writer, poet, essayist and theatre critic. Important socio-liberal cultural journalist at the turn of the century, editor of the "Arbeiterzeitung"; edited together with H. Osten the "Neue Revue" (formerly "Wiener Literatur Zeitung") from 1893 to 1898; worked for the "Neues Wiener Journal"; chief editor of the "Extrablatt" and the newspaper "Die Zeit"; president of the writers' association "Concordia" from 1913 to 1926.
