Wiesinger, Albert#
b. Vienna, Aug. 12, 1830, d. Vienna, Oct. 8, 1896, priest, journalist. Chief editor of the newspaper "Wiener Kirchenzeitung" from 1861-1874 and of the newspaper "Oesterreichischer Volksfreund" from 1872-1875. Together with S. Brunner leading representative of catholic journalism in Vienna; greatly feared for his polemics; criticised for his anti-semitic publications.
