b. Vienna, Nov. 30, 1770, d. Felixdorf (Lower Austria), June 7, 1846, miniaturist and landscape painter. depicted political events, mainly from the period of Napoleon; his small-sized, detailed water-colours and gouache paintings are of particular interest due to their topographic precision; also produced paintings on various objects such as cases, fans and lampshades.
