Willendorf in der Wachau#
Willendorf in der Wachau, Lower Austria, village in the district of Krems an der Donau, alt. 209 m, situated on the left bank of the River Danube opposite to the ruins of Aggstein Castle, Cadastral District of the market town of Aggsbach. - Several locations of paleolithic finds in the loess terrace; famous for the Venus von Willendorf; an enlarged copy of the statue has been put up as a monument at the site where it was discovered.
