Wirtschaftsbeirat#
Economic Advisory Council (Wirtschaftsbeirat), council for economic and social questions, founded in 1963 as the third subcommittee of the Paritaetische Kommission for questions of prices and wages. The Economic Advisory Council is a body of experts that prepares studies concerning economic and socio-political issues. It is made up of 4 representatives each of the Austrian Economic Chamber (Wirtschaftskammer Oesterreich) and the Federal Chamber of Labour and of 3 representatives each of the Presidential Conference of Chambers of Agriculture and of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions. The presidency changes every six months. There are various teams (budget policy, integration etc.) divided up into working groups, which all work on individual studies.
