b. Szeged (Hungary), Oct. 3, 1810, d. Baden (Lower Austria), July 8, 1885, banker. Founded a banking and wholesale business in Vienna in 1849; President of the Council of the Vienna Stock Exchange, of the DDSG (Danube Steamship Company) and of the Austrian Railways; also President of the Austrian National Bank and Vice-Governor of the Austro-Hungarian Bank.
