Zechner, Leopold#

b. Vienna, June 26, 1884, d. Vienna, Dec. 6, 1968, teacher and politician in charge of education (Austrian Social Democratic Party, SPOe). 1945-1960 acting president of the Municipal School Board of Vienna; 1945-1956 member of the Nationalrat; strongly advocated the idea of general (comprehensive) secondary education ( Allgemeine Mittelschule).
