Zeller See#

Zeller See, Lake, province of Salzburg, alt. 757 m, 4.7 km2, 3.8 km long and 1.5 km wide, 68 m deep; mountain lake of good water quality in the central Pinzgau region. Located in the Salzburg Schist Alps, Schmittenhoehe mountain (1,965 m) in the west and Hundstein mountain (2,117 m) in the east rising above the lake. On its western and eastern shores narrowed by alluvial cones formed by the Finsterbach, Breitenbach and Thumersbach streams; drains into River Salzach. Main towns and villages: Zell am See (757 m), Thumersbach (817 m) and Schuettdorf (759 m).
