88th Regiment of Foot (Highland Volunteers)
Das britische Infanterieregiment No. 88 oder auch Campell Highlanders / Highland Volunteers war ein leichtes Infanterie Regiment im Siebenjährigen Krieg unter Major John Campbell of Dunoon.
Es wurde zusammen mit seinem Schwesterregiment, dem 87th Regiment of foot (Keith Highlanders) zur Unterstützung der preußischen Truppen 1760 rekrutiert und blieb bis Kriegsende in Deutschland stationiert. Seine Truppen bestanden aus teilen des 42nd Royal Highland Regiments (Black Watch) und frischen Rekruten aus dem schottischen Hochland.
Zusammen mit dem 87th nahm es an einigen Schlachten teil, darunter Warburg, Kloster Camp, Wilhelmsthal und Vellinghausen.
Nach dem Krieg landete das Regiment 1763 in Tilbury Fort und marschierte nach Linlithgow, Schottland, wo es aufgelöst wurde.
