Military service#
Franz Weiss had compulsory military service in Crete, Russia, and Italy. In connection with one of the fierce battles he made a vow that if he survived, he would mainly work for the glory of the almighty. This is why so many of his works after 1945 are influenced by religion.Maybe the most impressive example is the construction of the church in Tregist done exclusively with the money of the Artist:
