Montserrat Montserrat, Spain is a mountain range located near the city of Barcelona.

The highest peak is Sant Jeroni (1,236 m). It is well known as the site of the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary.

It has been identified by some with the location of the Holy Grail in Arthurian myth, e.g. by the Nazi regime in Germany during WWII, causing frantic searches by German officials at that time.
