Eysler, Edmund eigentlich E. Eisler#
Eysler, Edmund (real name: E. Eisler), b. Vienna, March 12, 1874, d. Vienna, Oct. 4, 1949, composer of operettas who maintained the tradition of the Viennese operetta. Many melodies from his operettas became very popular (e.g. "Kuessen ist keine Suend", 1903). In 1949 awarded the Ring of Honour of the City of Vienna.
