In the interdisciplinary, collaborative and open innovation project we work with
newapproaches toopeneducation, integrating trainingsolutionsandapplyingOER
through12MOOCswith innovative strategies,wherewecreate newentrepreneur-
shipopportunitiesfor thechallengeofenergysustainability(Molina-Gutiérrezetal.,
2019).
We link theopen innovationof thequadhelix:
• Company (FederalElectricityCommission),
• Government (National Council of Science and Technology and Secretary of
EnergyofMexico),
• Academy (Mexican institutions: Tecnologico de Monterrey, Tecnologico
Nacional deMexico, National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energies and
international institutions:ArizonaStateUniversity andUniversity ofCalifornia
at Berkeley, aswell as networks: research groups of strategic change approach
ClimateChange andEducational InnovationResearch, OpenergyNetwork and
UNESCOChairs/ICDEOpenEducationalMovement forLatinAmerica) and
• CivilSociety (more than200,000participants frommore than50countries).
Theobjectiveistosupporttheformationofhumanresourcesspecializedinenergy
sustainability, anddevelophuman talentwith the necessary capabilities to respond
to the technological conditions prevailing in the energy value chain (Electric sec-
tor), throughgraduateprograms,massiveopenonlinecourses thatwill beavailable
nationwide, andvalidate throughcompetencies certificationprocesses.
Thecollaborativeandmultidisciplinaryconstructionwasevidencedbytheworkof
23membersof theEnergyandClimateChangeGroup;36membersof theResearch
andInnovationinEducationGroup, theOpenergyNetworkandtheUNESCO-ICDE
