Bartholomaeberg, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Bregenz, alt. 1,087 m, pop. 2,137, area 27.28 km2, winter and summer tourist resort (105,954 overnight stays) at the entrance of Silbertal valley, southeast of the town of Bludenz; mechanical industry; oldest settlement in the Montafon Mountains (first documentary mention 1383) in an old mining area (iron ore, silver and copper mining); Baroque parish church (1732) with Gothic miners' altar (approx. 1525) and glass paintings (approx. 1575), high altar (1740), magnificent organ (1792), Romanesque processional cross (12th century).
