b. Salzburg, Jan. 6, 1889, d. Vienna, Sept. 2, 1960, writer; 1918 called to the Burgtheater by H. Bahr, several posts until 1960: dramatic adviser 1922, literary artistic secretary 1926, then first dramatic adviser, temporary, then deputy director 1945, honorary member 1949; 1929-1931 taught at the Reinhardt Seminar (drama school) in Vienna.
