Hütteldorf#

Huetteldorf, part of the 14th district of Vienna ( Penzing), situated where the River Wien emerges from the Vienna Woods and the Haltertal valley joins the Wien valley. First documented mention around 1170 ("Otendorf"). Derived its name from the Utendorf dynasty (the initial ´H´ was added to the place name in 1548). Terminus of underground line U 4; train station of the western railway line and bus terminal; Vienna West camp site; Gerhard-Hanappi stadium (1971-1978); two residences by O. Wagner (1886-1888, 1912/13); playing cards archives of the playing cards manufacturer Piatnik. Forestry technology enterprise of the Oesterreichische Bundesforste AG (Austrian Federal Forests).
